I HAD NO IDEA WHAT WAS COMING...
2014
I was always a big fan of chewing gum. In fact, I chewed gum every single day & there's no denying that even regular gum slightly improved my jawline, but this took YEARS of consistent chewing. On my morning walks to college, I noticed a very intriguing connection between chewing gum and my jaw muscles. I quickly learned that the more gum I chewed, the bigger my masseter muscles grew, and I got many compliments about how sharp my jawline was, but never knew what was hiding around the corner, and so half a decade later...
THE HIATUS & EUREKA MOMENT
2015-2020
A lot had happened.... I dabbled in several business ideas - which ended up as failures, I went to university, graduated in Economics & applied to 150+ jobs...just to end up getting zero offers...This was my eureka moment, I had the time to revisit the thought 'what if chewing gum can be tough?' - yes, that's the original screenshot from my notes app! My simple logic was: I love chewing gum & I learned in 2014 that it grew my jaw muscles - so why not find a solution? After surfing the web for hours, a product like this did not exist...however, I did stumble across something very interesting.....
THE STROKE OF LUCK & BEGINNING
2020
...It was called mastic gum. I had never heard of it before - in fact, most people wouldn't have. It was chewed by cavemen & so everything began to click with the idea I had originally written down in my notes app. In August of 2020, the first ever unit of ROCKJAW mastic gum was packed - it was nothing fancy, with a logo borrowed from online. In September, we soft-launched & got our first sale on eBay! It was at this pivotal moment that I made the choice to dedicating my efforts to creating the best functional chewing gum products in the world.
INNOVATION & MILESTONES
2021-2022
From 2021 to 2022, we continued to make a lot of improvements and progress. We sold to the biggest MMA fighters, CEOs, YouTubers and podcasters in the world, and won our very first business award. We finally ditched the generic logo borrowed from the internet & created our very own, which still represents the brand, and three new product lines were introduced. But we didn't want to stop there...
A PARADIGM SHIFT
2023
In 2022, something monumental occurred. My dream of creating a hard chewing gum from scratch finally became a reality. We developed a tough chewing gum that resembled regular gum. After almost a year of trial and error we released the first version of Tuff Gum in January of 2023 - there was a terrible printing error (the first pouch) that was rough, but looking back now, it was hilarious! Despite looking hideous, it still sold out within the first 2 months - meaning that we were doing something right...
CONTINUING ON
2024
As of now, we've released two new products, partnered up with two major logistics companies in the UK & USA, won two awards, & shortlisted for a large business award, and we've made significant improvements to all of our products.
